One of Warrnambool’s outstanding architectural features, the Ozone Hotel was destroyed by fire on February 23, 1929. The four storey building was reduced to a blackened shell, damage estimated at 100,000 pounds. (The site is now occupied by the Warrnambool Hotel). This picture shows interested townspeople surveying the damage.
