Private (Pte) Raymond Lawrence (Ray) Doran, of Brisbane, Qld, starts off in the fifth mile of the British Commonwealth Forces Korea (BCFK) annual 18 mile relay race.

3843 Corporal (Cpl) Lawrence Joseph ‘Larry’ Moon, a member of the North Zone team, clears a hurdle during a race at a British Commonwealth Occupation Force (BCOF) athletics meeting held at Anzac Park. Note the wooded hills and barracks buildings at left rear. Cpl L J Moon went on to serve in the Korean War and Vietnam War.
